Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received another death threat, accompanied by a demand for a Rs 2 crore ransom. The threat, also directed at Mumbai MLA Zeeshan Siddique, was made on Tuesday by a 20-year-old man from Noida, according to the Mumbai Police. Officials have confirmed the suspect’s arrest, with the investigation now underway.
Maharashtra Assembly Election Updates: NCP-SP and BJP Candidate Announcements
In Maharashtra’s upcoming assembly elections, the NCP-SP alliance released five candidate names on Tuesday. Notably, Raju Khare has replaced Siddhi Kadam, daughter of former MLA Ramesh Kadam, for the Mohol seat. Anil Sawant will represent Pandharpur, a seat allied with Congress, which has nominated Bhagirath Bhalke. Other NCP-SP candidates include Abhijit Patil for Madha, Girish Karale for Morshi, and Sangita Waje for Mulund, Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the BJP’s fourth candidate list introduces Narendra Lalchandji Mehta for Mira Bhayandar in Thane and Sudhir Laxmanrao Parwe for the Umred constituency in Nagpur. With these additions, the BJP has now announced a total of 148 candidates for Maharashtra, also allocating four seats to smaller allied parties.
