16-year-old aspirant left emotional note thanking family, expressing grief over mother’s death

Solapur, Maharashtra – In a heartbreaking incident, a 16-year-old student from Solapur died by suicide on Friday after allegedly seeing his deceased mother in a dream. The teenager, identified as Shivsharan Bhutali Talkoti, had recently passed his Class 10 board exams with 92% and was preparing for the NEET medical entrance exam.

Mother Passed Away Due to Jaundice

According to local police officials, Shivsharan’s mother passed away three months ago due to jaundice. Since then, he had been living with his maternal uncle and grandmother, who were caring for him during his difficult time.

Suicide Note Mentions Dream About Mother

Authorities found a suicide note near the body, where Shivsharan wrote about a dream in which his late mother appeared and asked him to come to her. This emotional vision reportedly triggered his decision.

“I should have gone with her. I stayed back only for my uncle and grandmother,” he wrote in the note.

“Uncle, please don’t send grandmother back to papa. Keep my sister happy. Take care of everyone. You’ve done more for me than my parents,” he added.

He signed off the letter as ‘Yours, Pintya’, believed to be a nickname used affectionately by family members.

Bright Student Preparing for NEET

Police confirmed that Shivsharan was an ambitious student, aiming to become a doctor. He had recently achieved remarkable academic success with a 92% score in his Class 10 exams and had begun preparing for NEET 2026.

Case Registered, Family in Deep Shock

A case has been registered at the Solapur City Police Station, and the matter is under further investigation. His family, especially his uncle and grandmother, are reportedly in deep shock.

Mental Health Support is Crucial
