The Maharashtra Cabinet has made FASTag mandatory at all toll plazas across the state. This decision aims to streamline toll collection and enhance efficiency and transparency. Vehicles without FASTag or those entering the wrong lanes will face double toll charges. This change applies to both existing and future toll projects managed by the public works department and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation.

Additionally, the government has approved revisions to the Maharashtra Government Rules of Business to improve administrative efficiency and transparency, streamlining decision-making and governance processes.
