A 45-year-old tourist from Maharashtra tragically died after collapsing inside the Taj Mahal complex on Wednesday afternoon, according to official sources.
Tourist Identified as Shivling Babayya Swami
The tourist, identified as Shivling Babayya Swami from Latur district, was visiting the iconic monument with his family. While near the Royal Gate, he suddenly felt uneasy and lost consciousness.
Swift Medical Response
According to Prince Vajpayee, Assistant Conservationist at the Taj Mahal, the incident occurred around 1:25 PM. A Quick Reaction Team from the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) immediately rushed to the spot and transported him to a nearby hospital by ambulance. However, doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
Police Action and Investigation
Syed Arib Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Taj Security, confirmed that police responded quickly after receiving the alert. The tourist’s body has been placed in the mortuary for further examination.
Cause of Death Awaited
Officials stated that the exact cause of death will be determined only after a post-mortem report is completed.
